| I started flying model aeroplanes about 25 years ago.On joining
the South Derry Club I flew at every opportunity for twenty years.
Flying and building models is a big family thing for me as I fly
with my two brothers my uncle and my father, I fly most disciplines
and even fly a helicopter, I have a B certificate for RC power and I
hold an examiners position for fixed wing. My interest in gliding
started when the members of NIMSA came to South Derry many years ago
headed by Sam Phenix and I've been hooked ever since. I've now been
flying with NIMSA and the Ballymoney club for about 5 years. I am
proud and privileged to represent the gliding communty at the area
and will do my utmost to do a good job. |
